When you are looking at your closet you may not know what to wear even if you have a closet full of clothes. This is one of the most frustrating things because with so much and so many options you will often have these five issues.
If you do have any of these issues it's time to change up how you shop and what you bring into your wardrobe. It is so important that if you have any of these issues you fix them now
1. You shop too many trends and you don’t have enough basics
Basics are CRUCIAL in every closet but I like to teach the importance of having a capsule wardrobe. With a capsule wardrobe, you won't have a bunch of pieces you never wear, instead, your closet is filled with items you wear often and you mix and match different items, and everything in your closet works together. This is so important in creating a timeless wardrobe that fits your style perfectly.
2. You don’t shop according to your lifestyle
It is important that if you are a stay-at-home mom or if you work in an office setting, wherever you spend most of your time it reflects in your closet. It is important that you don't have a bunch of party clothes and going-out clothes if you rarely ever go out. It is time to get rid of the clothes that aren't what you spend the majority of your time wearing.
3. Uninspired by your wardrobe
I will tell you the moment that I felt most uninspired with my own clothes was when my closet was 70% T-shirts. For some having a closet filled with T-shirts may be inspiring and make them happy. For me, it makes me sad. I love seeing fun tops and dresses and skirts. I love seeing prints and patterns and fun colors. That makes me happy and I am inspired. It is so important to make sure that your wardrobe is inspirational for you.
4. You buy what you want and not what you need
You need to shop smart and go to the store or online prepared with a list like you would when you're grocery shopping. it is so important to be intentional and limit your impulse buying to only one item, don't take the tags off until you will wear them! So if you need to sell it or return it you can.
5. You don’t plan your outfits ahead
When you plan your outfits ahead of time you simplify your day and your mornings. This is the best way to get dressed is to plan how you will dress for the entire week.
